  Zachary Quinto (born June 2, 1977) plays the role of Sylar on Heroes.


The half-Italian, half-Irish Quinto was born in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. He is an alumni of the Carnegie Mellon School of Drama, from which he graduated in 1999. He made his television debut on an episode of the short-lived NBC series, The Others.

Prior to Heroes, Quinto was best-known for his role as CTU analyst Adam Kaufman on the FOX series 24. He is also known for his role as the best friend of Tori Spelling on her VH1 series So NoTORIous. In addition, Quinto has made guest appearances on such television shows as Touched by an Angel, CSI, Charmed, and Six Feet Under.

In July 2007, it was announced that Quinto will be playing a younger version of Mr. Spock in the upcoming Star Trek film (titled simply Star Trek). [1] Quinto had expressed interest in the role as early as December 2006.[2] Star Trek, which opened in May 2009, marked Quinto's feature film debut. It was followed by two sequels, Star Trek Into Darkness (2013) and Star Trek Beyond (2016), both of which Quinto reprised the role of Spock for.
